The suspect entered the bank carrying a travel bag and proceeded to the second floor, where employees and customers were present. Holding up a black plastic bag, he attempted to make it seem like he was armed and loudly ordered everyone to kneel. Chaos erupted as some customers screamed while the man continued issuing threats.

However, his robbery attempt lasted only two minutes. One of the customers, Park Cheon Gyu, a former special forces soldier, acted swiftly and managed to subdue the suspect, tackling him from behind. The incident became even more memorable for Park and his wife, who was celebrating her birthday that day. "She told me this would be a birthday to remember," Park told the press.

Authorities revealed that the man had been unemployed for five years and was facing severe financial difficulties.
